Sulfonylamino(thio)carbonyl compounds (I) and their salts are new. Sulfonylamino(thio)carbonyl compounds of formula (I) and their salts are new. R : hydrocarbon or hydrocaboxyl (both optionally substituted by e.g. T); heterocyclyle, heterocyclyloxy (both optionally substituted), or H, halo, C (O)R 3>, OC(O)R 3>, S(O) nR 3>, OS(O) nR 3>, OH, CN, NO 2, NH 2, SF 5, NR 4>R 5> or Si(R 6>) 3; n : 0-2; R 1>halo, OH, SH, carbon free nitrogen-containing group or T; i : 0-3; R 2>5-membered optionally substituted heterocyclic ring; R 3>hydrocarbon, hydrocarboxy (optionally substituted by e.g. T, heterocycle or heterocycloxy); H, CN or NR 4>R 5>; R 4>R 0>-Q 0>; and R 5>H, acyl, hydrocarbon or heterocycle (optionally substituted by e.g. T); or NR 4>R 5>heterocyclic ring; R 6>hydrocarbon (optionally substituted by e.g. T); R 0>H, acyl, hydrocarbon or heterocycle (all optionally substituted by e.g. T); R 10>H, acyl or hydrocarbon (optionally substituted by e.g. T); or NR 0>R 10>heterocyclic ring; Q 0>a bond, O or N(R 10>); W 1>O or S; T : 1-30C-containing substituent. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) preparation of (I); (2) use of sulfonyl compounds of formula (IIa) as intermediates for (I); (3) new compounds (IIa) where R = COR 3>, provided that R 3> is not hydrocarboxy; (4) an agrochemical agent comprising (I) and plant protective auxiliary material and additional material.
