A gravure printing method using aquatic gravure ink and a gravure printing machine for the same are provided to prevent problems of labor, accident, and environmental contamination, and so on, by using aquatic gravure ink. A gravure printing machine includes an ink storage part, a copper plate, and a furnisher roll(2). The ink storage part has a size appropriate to dip the furnisher roll. The copper plate is separated from the ink storage part. The furnisher roll is disposed on a doctor. The doctor has a back plate length projecting from a fixing tool. The back plate length is set as 20m/m to 30m/m. A doctor knife projecting from the back plate has a length of 3m/m to 4m/m.
