<p>A gas barrier multilayer body is disclosed which is composed of a plastic base (A), an inorganic thin film (B) formed on at least one surface of the plastic base (A), and a polyester resin film layer (C) formed by applying a coating material containing a polyester resin to the surface of the inorganic thin film (B). The polyester resin has a glass transition temperature of 50-70°C, a molecular weight of 1,500-15, 000, and a hydroxyl number of 10-60 mgKOH/g. The multilayer body has an oxygen permeability of not more than 5 cc/m2/day/atm and a water vapor permeability of not more than 5 g/m2/day. Consequently, the gas barrier multilayer body is excellent in printability (especially in tone printability), and the gas barrier property is not deteriorated even when the multilayer body has a print thereon. Further, the gas barrier multilayer body exhibits excellent adhesiveness between the plastic base (A) and the inorganic thin film (B) when retort processing is performed thereon.</p> |
