MICROBIAL MEDIA FOR TREATMENT OF WASTE WATER

A microbial contact for treatment of sewage and wastewater using a noble medium for allowing microorganisms to perform efficient metabolism activities in the optimum environment while seeking various changes is provided. A microbial contact for treatment of sewage and wastewater comprises: a medium(1) formed by twisting a plurality of synthetic fiber monofilaments in a predetermined direction; and a plurality of synthetic fiber multifilament loops planted along the surface of the medium in an unspecified distance. The synthetic fiber multifilament loops are created in a bundle form by overlapping a plurality of synthetic fiber multifilaments with one another. The synthetic fiber multifilament loops comprise large loops(3) and small loops(2). The synthetic fiber monofilaments are polyethylene monofilaments. The synthetic fiber multifilaments are polypropylene multifilaments.
