<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite sintered compact which has a more markedly improved maximum magnetic flux density than a conventional Mn-Zn ferrite sintered compact, especially, a high maximum magnetic flux density at a high temperature of 100°C, and has stable quality and to provide an electronic component using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite sintered compact is characterized in that the main composition comprises 68 mol%<Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>≤80 mol% and 3 mol%≤ZnO≤15 mol% and the balance comprises manganese oxide and that concerning 5 μm or larger vacancies in a cross section of the sintered compact, below 10 such vacancies per 100 μm length in the direction of the surface of the sintered compact are present within the scope 100 μm deep from the surface of the sintered compact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
