PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable reception level measurement device capable of measuring the reception level of a television receiver across a wide measurement range. SOLUTION: The reception level measurement device comprises an AGC amplifier (4a) which receives an RF signal received with an antenna and outputs the inputted RF signal as a signal of a constant level, an AGC amplification device (4) comprising a means (4b) for generating an AGC control signal which controls the gain of the AGC amplifier, a preamplifier (3) which amplifies the RF signal received by the antenna and outputs it to the AGC amplification device, and a switching means (2) for switching, relating to the RF signal supplied to the AGC amplification device, the RF signal outputted directly from the antenna and the RF signal amplified by the preamplifier. Since there is a relationship between an AGC voltage and an antenna terminal voltage, the reception level can be determined from the AGC voltage using a conversion formula. If the level of the RF signal that is received is low, it is amplified by the preamplifier (3) and the reception level is acquired from an AGC value of the amplified RF signal using a second conversion formula.
