<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a conductive roller without specific uneven parts, e.g. breaking-off lines, in the surface layer which enables formation of a surface layer of an even thickness for the roller body and among rollers. <P>SOLUTION: While a coating is supplied to the peripheral surface of a gravure roll, the gravure roll and the base of a conductive roller are intersected at a predetermined angle, optionally 90°. As the peripheral surfaces of the gravure roll and the conductive roller come in contact with each other or close together, a predetermined voltage is applied across the gravure roll and the conductive roller. While the gravure roll and the base of the conductive roller are revolved, at least one of the gravure roll and the base of the conductive roller is displaced relative to the other in the longitudinal direction of the base of the conductive roller, and a coating is applied to the peripheral surface of the base of the conductive roller to form a surface layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
