PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversing cylinder device in a sheet-fed printer by which problems such as double fed sheets or wrinkles are solved by stabilizing a position and timing for gripping paper when gripping the rear end of the paper. SOLUTION: In the reversing cylinder device, a gripper shaft 410 mounted on a reversing cylinder 300 is constituted in a coaxial double structure, an inner gripper shaft 411 and an outer gripper shaft 412 constituting the gripper shaft 410 are connected to driving mechanisms for individually rotatively driving them, an inner side turning metal in which a rear gripper 421 is secured to the inner side gripper shaft 411 is assembled to one of a gripper receiving members 430, 431 of the outer side gripper gripper shaft 412, an outer side turning metal 440 mounting an front gripper 420 and secured to the outer side gripper shaft 412 is assembled to the other one of the gripper receiving members, repelling means 460, 461 elastically pressing and contacting the rear gripper 421 and the front gripper 420 each other are provided, a fixed gripper seat holding a sheet in cooperation with the rear gripper 421 or the front gripper 420 with the rotation of the gripper shafts 411, 412 is formed in an opposed portion of the rear gripper 421 or the front gripper 420.
