<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve throughput in double face printing in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet, on which a toner image is formed to be fixed on the front face side, is guided to a sheet reversing part 19, conveyed to a reversing roller pair 20 and 21, and conveyed to a reconveying roller pair 22 and 23. In this process, a conveying speed of the sheet given by the reversing roller pair 20 and 21, the reconveying roller pair 22 and 23, a skew feed roller 16, and a U-turn roller 17 is increased when the reversing roller pair 20 and 21 is turned reversely, since drive control independent of that for the image forming apparatus can be carried out by a drive source arranged in a sheet reversing device. Since the sheet is conveyed at a speed higher than a sheet conveying speed during an image forming process and a fixing process carried out before, duration until arriving at a position allowing paper feed again to an image forming part for forming image on the back face side is reduced, and consequently, throughput can be improved in comparison with a conventional similar ordinary-speed double face print sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
