INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM, REPRODUCTION METHOD AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium which has sensitivity even to a laser light with a comparatively longer wavelength by adding another material to a next generation coloring matter recording material adaptable to a short wavelength and can record data in a bar code pattern using even an existing BCA recording device, and a recording method using the storage medium and a recording device.

SOLUTION: The information storage medium of a write once-type comprises a mixture of an organic coloring matter recording material adaptable to the 405 nm wavelength and an organic coloring matter recording material having absorbing power to the 600-700 nm wavelength. In addition, the medium comprises a recording layer made of the organic coloring matter recording material regulated so as to have a recording sensitivity to the wavelength used as a laser light source of the existing BCA recording device.
