PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inkjet recording liquid excellent in the fastness of colored image and having excellent color tone to realize good color reproduction by compounding a coloring agent prepared through the dispersion of a specific coloring matter in water and a water-soluble organic solvent. SOLUTION: This recording liquid is obtained by compounding a coloring agent prepared through the dispersion of a water-insoluble coloring matter (e.g. a compound of formula II) of formula I [A is a phenyl having NR4R5 or hydroxy group as a substituting group (R4 and R5 are each H, an alkyl, an aryl or a heterocycle, or R4 and R5 together form a ring); R1 and R2 are each H, a (cyclo)alkyl, an aryl or a heterocycle, or R1 and R2 together form a ring; R3 is H or a group which can be substituted on an aromatic ring; n is 1-4] in water and a water-soluble organic solvent. The coloring matter of formula I can be produced, for example, through a method in which a 1- hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid amide compound known as a coupler for silver salt photograph and a p-phenylenediamine compound are subjected to oxidation coupling or the like. |
