The horse drawn vehicle has a chassis, a shaft, two rear wheels (3,4) and two front wheels (1,2) mounted on a steering shaft. There are two pivoting axles , one for each front wheel. In the case of the kingpin the polygon defined by the quadrilateral joining the points of wheel contact with the ground is variable , and more reduced than the turn of the wheels with the ground and shorter. With a worn axle the polygon stays quasi invariable which is important for increasing stability in the turning of the wheels. ADVANTAGE - Ensures stability during turning.
