An array type inkjet printer is provided to improve a printing speed and prevent a driving power supply capacity from being excessively required or consumed. In an array type inkjet printer, a duty ratio calculating unit(30) calculates a duty ratio as a ratio of an amount of printing included in a line. A power capacity calculation unit(50) calculates a driving power capacity consumed averagely to operate a nozzle constituting the head while printing one line. A practical printing speed calculation unit(60) calculates a driving speed of the roller to be supplied as a target power capacity. And, a controller(10) supplies a driving command to a motor to driving at a practical printing speed.
