The method involves installing, above a bay e.g. window, an uncased lintel (1) comprising a shoulder (11) that is dimensioned to form a housing for a case (2). The case is completely fixed and installed in the housing. The lintel and the case are covered by an insulation and/or finishing material e.g. gypsum board or gypsum plaster, to form a flat apparent surface. Slides and the case are mounted on a woodwork prior to the installation of the case. An independent claim is also included for a mounting assembly for installing the roller blind case.
