LAMINATED ELECTOSTRICTIVE ACTUATOR AND BONDED PRODUCT THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated electostrictive actuator wherein the occurrence of dielectric breakdown can be suppressed at the end of an electrostrictive driving part and the mechanical strength is kept appropriate.

SOLUTION: The actuator 10 is provided with an electrostrictive driving part 2 wherein an electrostrictive ceramics layer 11 and an internal electrode layer 12 are alternately stacked, a stress absorption layer 3 wherein the electrostrictive ceramics layers 11 are joined at their central part by a bonding layer 14 and a discontinuous layer 15 formed of discontinuous electrostrictive ceramics layers 11 are formed in its periphery, and an electrorestrictive inactive protection layer 4. Assuming that a distance between the center of the bonding layer 14 and the periphery is (c) and a distance between the center of the internal electrode layer 12 and the periphery is (a), the distances are set so as to satisfy the relationship of 0.73≤c/a≤0.95.
