An immunological sandwich test determines the presence of NT-proBNP and uses two or more antibodies on the NT-proBNP. One of these antibodies is effective against part of the NT-proBNP epitope incorporating amino-acids 38 to 50. One of these antibodies is directed at parts of the NT-proBNP epitope with amino-acids 1 to 37, or 43 to 76. The epitopes recognised by the anti-bodies have a small overlap range.
