HYDROGEN FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM AND FUEL CELL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydrogen fuel supply system and a fuel cell system in which residual gas in a reactor can be effectively processed on switching between a reforming process and a regenerating process.

SOLUTION: A hydrogen fuel supply system 12A of a fuel cell system 10A is equipped with: a reactor 18 which can be switched to carry out a reforming step of generating a fuel gas containing hydrogen from a supplied source material and a regenerating step of allowing the supplied regeneration gas to react to increase the temperature decreased by the reforming step up to a temperature where reforming can be performed; a switching device 20A to alternately switch a first state of discharging a fuel gas while supplying the source material to the reactor 18 and a second state of discharging a regenerated discharge gas while supplying the regeneration gas to the reactor 18; and a controlling device to switch the switching device 20A in such a manner that upon stiching the first state into the second state, the reformed residual gas remaining in the reactor 18 before switching is not discharged as it is but burnt in a discharge gas processor 32.
