According to the invention, a content to be sequentially distributed is divided into a plurality of fragments. The invention concerns a device which includes a content division section for obtaining fragmented content data maintaining visible/audible characteristic, a content storage section for storing the fragmented content data in random order in a storage device, a distribution request analysis section for analyzing the distribution request from the reception device and reading out the content data stored in the storage device according to the order specified in the distribution request, and a content distribution section for sequentially distributing the fragmented content data according to the order specified in the distribution request.
