PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect a filled state of a waste toner bottle. SOLUTION: In controlling the fill detection of the waste toner bottle, scattered toner floating in the waste toner bottle is detected by using a scattered toner detecting sensor 311, and during the detection of scattered toner, input information from a fill detection sensor 312 is not detected.
