摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of obtaining internal structural information of large structure by using horizontal muon of high permeability though week in intensity. SOLUTION: Position sensitive detector means are arranged at the positions of limited intervals at the side of a direction oposing to the object of large structure, the position sensitive detector means are provided with two complexes of position sensitive detector means provided with the first detection plate and the second detection plate, and an iron member is arranged between the complexes. When the horizontal muon, which has passed through the measurement object before passing through the first position sensitive detector complex, arrives at the second position sensitive detector complex, by following the lines connecting the arrival points reversely, the pass routes in the measurement object are specified. Both the intensities of frontal horizontal muon and the backward horizontal muon arrived at the first position sensitive detector complex after passing through successively the second position sensitive detector complex, and metal member are measured with the same position sensitive detector means, and from the ratio of intensities of the frontal and backward horizontal muons, the internal structural information can be obtained.
