摘要 <p>This invention provides a laminate for HDD suspension, which can avoid data loss and crosstalk involved in high frequency and can meet a demand for a reduction in size and an increase in capacitance of HDD, and a process for producing the same. The laminate for HDD suspension comprises a 10 to 50 µm-thick stainless steel layer, a conductor layer (a) formed of a 0.1 to 10 µm-thick metal layer having an electric conductivity of 10 to 100% IACS, a 5 to 20 µm-thick insulating layer formed of a polyimide resin having a coefficient of linear expansion of 1 × 10<SUP>-5</SUP> to 3 × 10<SUP>-5</SUP>/ºC, and a 5 to 50 µm-thick conductor layer (b). The production process comprises coating, for example, a polyimide precursor solution in one or more layers onto a conductor layer (a) in a laminate member comprising a stainless steel layer and a conductor layer (a), drying the coating, heat treating the coating at a temperature of 250ºC or above to form a 5 to 20 µm-thick insulating layer formed of a polyimide resin having a coefficient of linear expansion of 1 × 10<SUP>-5</SUP> to 3 × 10<SUP>-5</SUP>/ºC, and bonding a 5 to 50 µm-thick conductor layer (b) onto the insulating layer by heat pressure contact bonding.</p>
