Class 89(1) A bolt 5, Fig. 1, engaging a hole 8 in a flange 2 of a part 1, is held in place by a dowel 12 engaging a hole 13 at right-angles to the bolt-axis. The dowel is stepped to provide faces 14, 15 engaging the end 16 and side 11, respectively, of the head. The dowel is secured against loss by a plate 17. A number of such bolts may be secured to a cylindrical part 1, Fig. 3, e.g. a gas-turbine engine-casing. |
