PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine improving suction efficiency of a scroll unit without causing enlargement and increase of number of components. SOLUTION: The scroll type fluid machine is used as a compressor. A spiral groove 64 is provided on an outer circumference surface of a rotor 54 of an armature thereof. The spiral groove 64 opens on both surfaces of the rotors 54 and increases effective flow passage cross section area of refrigerant route introducing refrigerant to a scroll unit.
