PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calibrate an oscilloscope, taking a front end (an analog component) in an oscilloscope into consideration. SOLUTION: A channel 110 includes the analog component 112 and digital components 118-124. An enhancement filter 120 enhances a response in the channel. The filter coefficient of the enhancement filter is found from a step response, acquired by applying a calibration signal to the channel and a desired step response in the oscilloscope, and configures the characteristics of the enhancement filter.
