METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMINE COMPOUND BY REDUCING AMIDE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of reducing an amide compound under gentle reaction conditions, capable of easily removing catalyst and reducing agent residues from the reaction product, and capable of obtaining the objective amine compound in good yields.

SOLUTION: The method for producing an amine compound comprises the step (1) of reducing an amide compound with a polymer having at least one Si-bonded hydrogen atom in the molecule in the presence of a transition metal catalyst to form an oxidized polymer being a gelatinous or solid substance, and the step (2) of removing the gelatinous or solid substance.
