<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization in an axial direction by eliminating movement of a sealing member for sealing a gap between a backup piston and a separator even if a master piston is directly pressed and the backup piston is advanced. <P>SOLUTION: In the brake device for the vehicle, at reduction of output liquid pressure of a liquid pressure generation source, an outer periphery of a front part of the backup piston capable of directly pressing the master piston from a rear side is liquid-tightly and slidably fitted to a short cylindrical separator and a sleeve for forming an annular passage between the outer periphery of the backup piston and it is arranged at a rear side than the separator. Annular sealing members for sealing each of both front and rear sides of the annular passage are interposed between the separator and the backup piston and between the sleeve and the backup piston respectively. In this case, the sealing member 95 for sealing a front side of the annular passage 93 is attached to an inner periphery of the separator 18 such that it is resiliently contacted with the outer periphery of the backup piston 64 and the sealing member 96 for sealing a rear side of the annular passage 93 is attached to the outer periphery of the backup piston such that it is resiliently contacted with the inner periphery of the sleeve 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
