PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor which secures excellent durability through the increase in fatigue life of a scroll by reducing in a simple composition the maximum tensile stress imposed on a root of an inner terminal end part of a spiral wall in a scroll. SOLUTION: A scroll compressor is equipped with a fixed scroll 30 and movable scroll 32 having base boards 30a, 32a and spiral walls 30b, 32b integrated with the base boards 30a, 32a, respectively. At least one 30 of the scrolls 30, 32 is provided with a recess 62 formed at the outer surface central region of the base board 30a opposite to the spiral wall 30b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
