<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated device eliminating complication for switching a clock required for internal function switch-over and setting up the clock precisely by only an instruction for internal function switch-over from outside. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor integrated device comprises: a clock frequency determination circuit 114 for determining the content of a switch-over instruction 100 for internal function inputted from outside, and determining a frequency of a clock required for a specific functional block 118; and a clock switch-over control circuit 113 for controlling a timing of function switch-over, and clock switch-over according to relationship of frequency before and after the switch-over, and outputting a function switch-over/clock switch-over completed flag 110 representing the status of the switch-over to outside.
