PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer suppressing a possibility of spoiling quality of an image, caused by overlapping the succeeding recording medium on an insufficiently dried ink, in the printer having a printing part for printing the image on the recording medium and a winding part for winding the recording medium on which printing is applied in the printing part into a rolled shape. SOLUTION: As a drying mechanism for drying the ink on the recording medium before being rolled into the rolled shape, a heater H2 arranged by facing the peripheral face of a roll formed in the winding part, and temperature controlling means G2, 51, 52 and 53 for controlling temperatures at sites of the roll facing the heater H2 in accordance with change in the diameter of the roll based on winding the recording medium, are provided.
