PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the imbalance problem around the revolution axis that is caused by the center of gravity displaced in the carriage assembly when there are variations in the mass and dimensions of the components, such as the head arm and coil holder composing the carriage assembly, even though within their tolerances. SOLUTION: The carriage assembly 1 is built by putting a head arm 3, a coil holder 7, a head arm 3, and a spacer 9 to the shaft 25 of the pivot 2 and screwing a nut 10 to the thread 26 of the pivot 2. By measuring the imbalance around the revolution axis caused by the center of gravity displaced in the carriage assembly 1 when it is assembled, the position of the hole 73 for the balancing weight is decided on the coil holder 7 to make the imbalanced quantity no more than the threshold, and the balancing weight (weight) 11 is attached.
