PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embossing carrier tape of which the rectangle property of a recess section is high and which is unperishable, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The embossed carrier tape having the recess section consisting of side sections rising up from a bottom section and the rim section of this bottom section and a projecting section projecting from the rear face of a substrate corresponding to this recess section, both formed in the substrate by press forming, and the thickness T of the substrate and the depth K<SB>0</SB>of the recess section satisfy formula (1), 0<K<SB>0</SB>/T≤0.09.
