PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glucose sensor chip that suppresses enzyme or the like from eluting from a sensing film to temperature of at least 40°C while maintaining successful spread of glucose. SOLUTION: The optical glucose sensor chip comprises a glass substrate, a pair of gratings that are formed on a major face of the substrate for impinging light into the substrate and for emitting the light, and a glucose sensing film formed on the major face of the substrate situated between the gratings. The glucose sensing film comprises a color developer, a first enzyme for oxidizing or reducing glucose, and a second enzyme for generating a substance for developing the color developer by reacting with a product of the first enzyme, which are held by a film body formed of a film-forming polymer compound and a cross-linking polymer compound.
