PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein, in the case where the concentration of a rotatory material in a sample is measured by measuring optical rotation of the sample, especially in the case where the glucose concentration in urine is measured, when various measurement inhibition components included in urine are removed by using resins, high-rate recovery of glucose is difficult because the glucose is sandwiched physically between the resins by merely allowing the urine to pass the resins. SOLUTION: After allowing the urine to pass a column filled with the resins, cleaning water such as pure water is allowed again to pass the same column, to thereby recover the glucose unrecovered at the urine passing time. In this case, since the measurement inhibition component is hardly included in the sample after passing, the glucose concentration in the original urine can be measured highly accurately without being influenced by the measurement inhibition component by measuring the optical rotation of the sample after passing.
