A method of providing a garment 10 includes the steps of packing the garment 10 in a packaging container 12, and at least partly evacuating the container 12, and sealing the container 12. The garment may be an item of underwear for the lower abdomen, such as ladies' briefs. It may be of washable material including cotton. An extra item which is a hygienic wipe, a sanitary pad or a condom 20 in its own packaging may be provided internally or externally of the container. A stack of the packaged garments may be provided in a vending machine for retail sale. |
