PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen microprinting method capable of being applied even to hydrogen of a very small amount of 0.05 mass ppm or below. SOLUTION: After metal plating, palladium plating or palladium-nickel plating large in the chemical adsorbing energy of a hydrogen atom is applied to the surface of a material, silver bromide is closely bonded to the plated surface of the material and formed silver is observed by SEM or the like to visualize a hydrogen discharge place or to measure the amount of hydrogen, which is discharged from the material, from the amount of silver.
