PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder using up battery capacity and securely closing a lens barrier, while its space is reduced and its cost is also reduced. SOLUTION: The image recorder has the lens barrier that is attached to the front face of a photographic lens or to a housing, is opened for photographing when photographs are taken and is closed and protects the lens when photographs are not taken. A control means 20 makes control such that supply of power from a power source is monitored and, when it is determined that the voltage of the power source is decreased below a predetermined level, a load to be supplied from the power source is decreased in order to close the lens barrier.
