PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of sharing correction of the original document by converting the handwritten correction added to a paper document to electronic information, and an image forming method. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an image input means for inputting an image, an original information acquisition means for acquiring original electronic information made to relate to the image, a vector data conversion means for converting the image to vector data, and a difference extraction means for preparing differential vector information from the original electronic information and the image.
