The device has a multi-section drive that is designed in such a manner that it moves only a closed cover (4) and not input/output units e.g. display (5), which is counter-sunk in a non-use position, during the beginning of a movement of the cover. The drive moves only the input/output unit from the non-use position to a usage position, and not the completely opened cover, during the end of the movement of the cover.
