PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic elastomer composition excellent in moldability, heat resistance and oil resistance, particularly a thermoplastic elastomer composition excellent in heat resistance comprising a (meth)acrylic block copolymer. SOLUTION: The method for producing the thermoplastic elastomer composition comprises kneading in an extruder a composition comprising a (meth)acrylic block copolymer (A) having an acid anhydride group and/or a carboxyl group together with an acrylic polymer (B) having a reactive functional group (C).
