The invention concerns a timing gear case (10, 11) for an internal combustion engine, the timing gear case (10, 11) being fixed on the distribution front panel of the cylinder housing of said engine so as to provide a space between the timing gear case (10, 11) and the distribution front panel of the cylinder housing. The invention is characterized in that the timing gear case (10, 11) has appropriate openings (14) for reducing the acoustic and/or vibratory resonance produced in the space present between the timing gear case (10, 11), the distribution front panel (13) and the cylinder housing. |
