<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram reproducing device, a hologram reproducing method for the hologram reproducing device which can continuously reproduce data from the hologram recorded on the hologram medium without using a shutter. <P>SOLUTION: The device is the hologram reproducing device in which the data is reproduced by injecting a coherent reference beam to a recording area of the hologram medium, in which the data to be reproduced is recorded as the hologram, and diffracting the reference beam by the hologram. The hologram reproducing device is equipped with the reference beam generating part for sequentially injecting the reference beam to each of the recording areas, smaller than the recording area, divided in direction crossing with the moving direction of each of the adjacent designated width in the relative moving direction of the hologram medium, a light receiving part for sequentially receiving the light after the reference beam is diffracted by the hologram of each of the recording areas, and a reproduction part for reproducing the data based on the reference beam sequentially received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
