PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a meshing condition of a worm and a worm wheel good by restraining hitting sound of the teeth of a worm and a worm wheel and improving the durability of a worm gear mechanism with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This worm gear mechanism 44 comprises a worm 47, a worm wheel 48 for torque transmission meshed with the worm, and an auxiliary worm wheel 49 overlaid on the worm wheel for torque transmission. The auxiliary worm wheel comprises an annular wheel body 112 meshed with the worm, and an energizing member 11 assembled to the wheel body. The energizing member comprises a hollow disk-like outer circle part 121 assembled to the wheel body, a small-diameter disk-like inner circle part 122 mounted to the worm wheel for torque transmission, and a plurality of plate-like elastic arms 123 radially extending from the inner circle part toward the outer circle part.
