<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly qualified cellulose ester film capable of being used for a protective film of a polarizing plate for a liquid crystal display (LCD) and the like and causing no trouble due to a push, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the cellulose ester film by a solution cast film-making method an average amount of a remaining solvent in a web is 20 to 120 wt% in case of peeling the web from a support by a peeling roll; an average amount of the remaining solvent in the web is 12 to 80 wt% and an amount of the remaining solvent on the surface of the web is 0.5 to 10 wt% in the case that the surface of the web in contact with a support contacts a transfer roll; a surface pressure of the web given by the peeling roll and the transfer roll is 500 to 3,000 Pa; and a contact time of the web with one roll is 0.01 to 0.72 s. A polarizing plate made by using the cellulose ester film shows an excellent optical property, and a liquid crystal display made by using the polarizing plate maintains a stable display performance for a long term. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
