MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MOLYBDENUM-CONTAINING SOLID MOLDED CATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of increasing a strength of a molded catalyst or mold goods of a pneumatic-transported precursor and/or a method of manufacturing molded catalyst high in yield of an object in the manufacturing method of the catalyst containing a step of molding the precursor.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a molybdenum-containing solid molded catalyst comprises a pneumatic-transport process of pneumatic-transporting the molybdenum element-containing catalyst and/or catalyst precursor with transport air having a line speed of 0.5-25 m/s (NTP), and a molding process of molding the molybdenum element-containing catalyst and/or catalyst precursor after the pneumatic-transport process. The molybdenum-containing solid molded catalyst is manufactured by the method. The manufacturing method of unsaturated carboxylic acid is employed for the gas phase-catalytic-oxidization of unsaturated aldehyde with molecular oxygen in the presence of the molybdenum-containing solid molded catalyst.
