<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for wheels with a rotation speed detection device in which the reliability of detecting the rotation speed of wheels is maintained over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor holder 16 comprises both a cover 17 made of sheet steel and comprising a fitting part 17a fitted over an end part of an external member 5; a flange part 17b extended inward in an axial direction from the fitting part 17a; and a bottom part 17c extended in an axial direction from the flange part 17b and a holding part 18 which is connected to the bottom part 17c and in which a rotation speed sensor 19 is embedded. A fastening piece 27 extended outward in a radial direction is formed at a tip part of the fitting part 17a in the cover 17, and a multilevel part 28 is formed in an inner circumference of a knuckle N. The engagement of the multilevel part 28 and the fastening part 27 prevents the cover 17 from moving in an axial direction to the external member 5. Even when a large load is exerted on the external member 5 to repetitively cause deformations into an elliptical shape, the cover 17 does not move to the external member 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
