The device has a refrigeration system evaporator (6) with a constant width and equal to predetermined value corresponding to thermal needs of a vehicle. A hollow beam supports a case and defines conduits to lead the air to a passenger compartment zone. The height of the evaporator is varied between a preset minimum and maximum height of a set of vehicles. The inclination angle of the evaporator is constant for the set of vehicles, such that a base unit (8) receives the evaporator. A heater core is inclined to the horizontal direction at a constant inclination angle for all the models of the set of vehicles.
