A method for managing a phone module in a portable phone is provided to enable users to control desired processors or modules by a method similar to a window work manager when there is a request for managing current operating modules or processors, thereby efficiently managing the operating modules or processors and minimizing damage when a problem occurs in a specific module. A method for managing a phone module in a portable phone comprises the following steps of: entering a work management mode according to user's request and displaying the list of modules currently operating work on the portable phone(S1,S2,S3); and driving a phone manager program and controlling the modules according to the user's request(S4,S5). The list includes a current operating processor. The above second step includes an additional step that the operation of a current operating module is closed, or the priority of the same is changed.
