The system has a mobile contact part (21) switching an electric circuit between an open position and a closed position, and a micro-actuator applying a main contact force to the contact part. A magnetic circuit applies an additional contact force to the contact part. An opening unit, after a control for opening the electric circuit, applies an opening force to the contact part. The intensity of the opening force is equal to sum of intensities of two other forces when the intensity of the opening force corresponds to an alternative current value lower than a threshold value. An independent claim is also included for a method for opening an electric circuit switched by a mobile contact between an open position and a closed position.
