摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To erase electric charges remaining in a charge transport layer by irradiating with erasing light after reading electric charges generated according to the dose of irradiation of radiation from a radiation image detector accumulating them. SOLUTION: The erasing light of the wavelength of 750 nm emitted by a planar light source 20 is irradiated on the charge transport layer 13 from the reading photoconductive layer 14 side. A second electrode layer 15 and the reading photoconductive layer 14 are transparent to the erasing light. The charge transport layer 13 has sensitivity to the erasing light of the wavelength of 750 nm. When the erasing light is irradiated on the charge transport layer 13, electron-hole pairs are generated. The generated positive charge (a hole) and a negative charge in a charge accumulation layer 16 combine, while the negative charge (an electron) and a positive charge in the charge transport layer 13 combine, thereby erasing the remaining electric charges trapped in the charge transport layer 13.
