PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantification method of amyloidβprotein, a novel substance capable of inhibiting the coagulation of amyloidβprotein and a screening method of the novel substance. SOLUTION: Polystyrenic fine particles being insoluble carrier particles with a diameter of 50-1,000 nm coated withβ-amyloid are subjected to the self-assembly withβ-amyloid in a solution to be coagulated and sedimented, and transmittance is measured to measure the concentration ofβ-amyloid in the solution.
